Dr. Kathrin Rac
Dr Kathrin Rac holds a Diploma in Medical Education from the University of South Wales and extensive clinical and teaching experience across multiple medical disciplines, with a strong focus on ophthalmology and emergency medicine. Currently a RACGP training registrar and medical educator, she brings practical insights from her roles as a clinical lecturer at Deakin University and tutor for the Diploma in Medical Education. Dr Rac’s background includes senior ophthalmology registrar positions involving surgical procedures, clinical teaching, and patient care, alongside emergency department education for medical residents and students. Her academic qualifications also include a Masters in Ophthalmic Science from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from James Cook University. She has contributed to numerous clinical audits, research publications, and presentations, demonstrating a commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development. Dr Rac’s combined expertise in clinical medicine, medical education, and hands-on teaching positions her well to support postgraduate students in the PGDip in Medical Education, fostering a practical and scholarly approach to developing future healthcare educators.
