Rutu Dave PGD MSc serves as a Tutor for the PGDip and MSc in Diabetes. She has been an Honorary Tutor with the University of South Wales since 2018, delivering online postgraduate teaching in diabetes and obesity.
Her extensive practical background includes working as a Nutritionist, Diabetes Educator, and Research Assistant at Chowpatty Medical Centre in Mumbai, alongside her current engagement at Eva Care. Her expertise spans meal planning, therapeutic nutrition, and lifestyle modification for type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes, as well as obesity and metabolic syndrome. She also provides education on Continuous Glucose Monitoring Systems and insulin pump delivery systems.
Previously, she was a Diabetes Educator at Breach Candy Hospital and a Master Trainer for the India Diabetes Educator project. Internationally, she served as a South East Asia member representative and Advisory Committee member for the International Diabetes Federation, where she contributed to the development of global education projects and materials. Her research contributions include published work on lifestyle interventions for type 2 diabetes remission. This blend of clinical, educational, and research experience ensures students receive expert guidance throughout their studies.
