Nicci Whiley

Nicci Whiley serves as a Tutor for the PGCert in Metabolic Medicine. She completed her Bachelor of Nursing and Advanced University Diploma in Nursing Education at the University of Cape Town, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Diabetes and a Master of Science in Diabetes at the University of South Wales. Nicolette is registered with the South African Nursing Council as a registered nurse, nurse educator, assessor, and moderator. Her clinical and industry experience includes practicing as a Diabetes Nurse Educator in private practice, working as a Diabetes Nurse Educator for Novo Nordisk, and serving as Learning and Development Manager for AstraZeneca across South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. Since 2016, she has conducted online tutoring for healthcare professionals undertaking postgraduate distance learning programs in metabolic medicine and diabetes, alongside developing online medical training modules for ExpertRep. Her background in diabetes education, pharmaceutical learning management, and online instruction enables her to guide multidisciplinary students through complex metabolic health concepts.
