Biography
Marco Galvez-Nino
Marco Galvez-Nino, MSc, is a Medical Oncologist and Clinical Researcher at the Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Neoplásicas (INEN) in Lima, Peru. He also leads the Thoracic & Head and Neck Multidisciplinary Committee at Clínica Internacional and works as a Clinical Researcher at the Oncosalud–AUNA Clinical Trials Unit.
Marco Galvez-Nino completed his MD at Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and his specialty training in Medical Oncology through Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia at INEN. He holds an MSc in Molecular Oncology from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and completed advanced training across several global institutions, including MD Anderson Cancer Center, Harvard Medical School, and the European School of Oncology.
His clinical and research focus centers on thoracic oncology, precision medicine, and strategies to improve access to molecular testing and targeted therapies in Latin America. A PhD Candidate in Medicine, he serves as a Principal Investigator and Sub-Investigator for multiple phase II–III international clinical trials, contributes to national regulatory documents and clinical guidelines, and functions as a peer reviewer for international oncology journals. He brings extensive academic, clinical, and research expertise to his role as Tutor for the Learna Postgraduate Program in Oncology.
