Biography
Dr Victoria Ononeze
Dr Victoria Ononeze is an experienced public health specialist with two decades of experience as a Consultant in Public Health, most recently serving at West Northamptonshire Council. Her extensive leadership background spans service transformation, strategic prevention, and community health development across local authority and NHS systems, managing multi-million-pound public health portfolios.
A Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health and registered with the UK Public Health Register, Dr Ononeze holds a PhD in Primary Care from the National University of Ireland, as well as an MSc in Health Promotion. Her research background includes published peer-reviewed papers on illness experience, health behavior, and online learning evaluation.
Dr Ononeze brings substantial academic and assessment expertise to her educational practice. She serves as a UK Public Health Register Specialist Portfolio Assessor and has held honorary and guest lectureships across multiple UK universities, alongside teaching medical students and supervising postgraduate research. She also facilitates online public health education aimed at building capacity in low- and middle-income countries. Her combination of strategic leadership, active research, and dedication to higher education ensures students on the PGDip and MSc in Public Health receive rigorous, practice-informed mentorship throughout their studies.
