Dr Suzanne Thickens MB BCh MRCGP DRCOG DFFP

Dr Suzanne Thickens is a GP Principal with over 20 years of clinical experience and a particular interest in women’s health. She provides intrauterine contraception services and holds the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare’s Letter of Competence in IUD fitting, with ongoing accreditation in sexual and reproductive health. Alongside her clinical work, Dr Thickens is a GP Tutor and Honorary Clinical Teacher at Cardiff University School of Medicine, where she teaches and examines undergraduate medical students in both classroom and primary care settings. She also has experience tutoring on postgraduate diploma programmes in clinical medicine, supporting course development and delivery. Her combined expertise in primary care, reproductive health, and medical education ensures she brings practical, up-to-date knowledge to her role as Tutor on the PGCert in Menopause Medicine.
