Dr. Santosh Bongale

Dr. Santosh Bongale FRCEM, MRCEM, MRCS, MBBS

Dr Santosh Bongale is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine in the Clyde sector of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. His extensive leadership and educational background includes roles as Foundation Programme Director for the West of Scotland, Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer and PBL Tutor at the University of Glasgow, and MRCEM Training Faculty for the BAPIO Training Academy. A former medical officer in the armed forces and postgraduate examiner, he brings hands-on experience in examination preparation, educational supervision, and appraisal. Dr Bongale also serves as a Site Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator in multicentre emergency care trials, with research published in peer-reviewed journals. In his role as Programme Director for the PGDip and MSc in Emergency Medicine, Dr Bongale applies his background in acute clinical practice, trial delivery, and medical education to support postgraduate learners in expanding their emergency medicine expertise.
